International Graduate Study Preparation Program
(website: igspp.ubc.ca)
UBC ranked 30th in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2010.
Higher education at the graduate level (Masters and Doctoral Degrees) in a top North American university is considered by many international students to be a necessity for achieving their academic and career goals.
The skills required for admission to these advanced degree programs, however, are very difficult for those unfamiliar with western academic culture. Despite years of preparation in study and work in their home environments, many promising Pre Graduate students are unsure of how and where to apply to international graduate schools. Many have their applications rejected not because they lack the academic qualifications, but because they lack the specific skills needed for being selected.
The International Graduate Study Preparation Program (IGSPP), an unique approach to graduate study preparation program in the world, has been developed by the University of British Columbia, Continuing Studies since 2004. This graduate school training helps to prepare international students in the advanced academic skills needed to gain admission to their ideal graduate school. Some of our students have received scholarship from the Saudi Cultural Bureau.
