CSLI Recently Awarded the Provincial Seal of Quality!
BC's EQA Designation is Canada's first and only provincial brand of quality for
post-secondary education.  EQA provides one standard provincial seal that can be recognized
globally as a symbol of quality education and consumer protection.

CSLI is so proud to be one of very few English schools in British Columbia to have this seal of quality!

Come and see new updates of CSLI!
CSLI has been in business for almost 20 years! We are always trying to improve the school,
and make students experiences amazing. This last months we have worked very hard to upgrade many
of our services around the school.
For example, we installed a new high tech “digital information board” in order to give students the most up-to-date information. We also installed a brand new lap-top bar for students to be able to access the internet fast and convenient!

Studets had a blast at Graduation Parties
Our famous Graduation Parties are getting even more diverse! In November, we had International Chef’s Pajama party with breakfast from all over the world. In October, we had Halloween party where everyone went all out and dressed up in unique costumes. In September, we had another amazing day aboard ship for our Boat Cruise grad, and in August, we took CSLI spirit out to the beautiful coast line of Vnaocuver for Beach grad. Check out some of the awesome pictures of our graduation events on the CSLI Flickr page

Congratulations as well to all the students who won medals for student of the class and, of course, to our Student of the Month winners, Keiko Shiiya of Japan in August, Jussara S. Sobocinksi Keinert from Brazil in September, and Hasen Quayyid Alotaibi of Saudi Arabia in October and Alexandre Chagas from Brazil in November who each received a 4-week scholarship to study for free at CSLI! Way to go!

Season of Giving

If there is one thing that sets CSLI apart from any other language school, it is the commitment
of the directors, staff, and teachers to make the world a better place in as many ways as they can.

We organized many events to help great causes.

Pie your Teacher in the Face!

What an opportunity to get your teacher back for giving you too much homework!! Students were able to buy a pie to smash in a teachers face…….but of course, all the money raised was for cancer.

Holiday Food Drive:

Teachers opened up our annual food drive with a hilarious song and dance routine!
Students, staff, and teachers have been creating a mountain of food to donate to local families in need.

MOVERMBER in NOVEMBER:
As part of CSLI’s charitable work, students and staff grew mustaches for MOVEMBER! A “mo” is slang for mustache….and November was chosen internationally to bring attention to male types of Cancer. All around CSLI you could see students and teachers growing their November mustaches to raise money! What a great way to get involved in Canadian culture.

CSLI’s Holiday Open House!
Recently CSLI opened its doors to celebrate the holidays! CSLI welcomed students, agents,
and business partners for our holiday open house! We invited newcomers and long-time CSLI fans alike
to give everyone a chance to experience some free classes, activities, food, and not to mention the CSLI
hospitality and friendly atmosphere that we are famous for! It was a big success and we thank everyone for
taking part and stopping by for a visit! Stay tuned as we are planning on more events in the future. Check
out all the fun photos on our facebook.

Look Who's Talking!

I was a CSLI student in 2008 for 6 months but since the very beginning I fell in love with the school.
Everything was great and the environment let me feel like I was at home. Even though I came
with my sister, we made a lot of friends from different countries so we weren’t able to speak Spanish.

All the teachers and staff were such a great team. I still remember how all my teachers made a difference with my English improvement. I believe all activities and graduation parties are also a great way to learn English 'cause you have to participate. You can't be shy!!!

That's why I contacted them again but this time I wanted to come back as a staff doing my internship for my University. Finally, when I came back to CSLI, I was totally nervous but everything was exactly the same - all the staff were always their to help me even for something insignificant. I learned a lot from each one, they don't have any idea how much they taught me day by day.

The students were another significant part of my internship. Even though I was there to help them, I also learned from them. I felt happy every time I could help them. I tried to do my best every day.

I have no words to say thank you so much CSLI for letting me be part of this amazing family!!! You will be always in my heart.

With love,

Chris Garcia
