Off-Campus Work Permit
Students studying the Associate of Arts Degree at FIC will be eligible to apply for an Off-Campus Work Permit. The permit allows students to work off-campus for 20 hours per week during term time and full time during scheduled breaks.

Transfer to Year 2 of SFU Degree after Year 1
Students studying the Associate of Arts Degree take the same modules in year 1 as students studying the UTP II program. After completing year 1 of the Associate of Arts Degree, students have the option to transfer to year 2 of a SFU degree if they have the required GPA and courses. This gives your students extra flexibility.

Post-Graduation Work Permit or
Entry to Year 3

Upon completing the Associate of Arts Degree, students may apply for the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program, or apply for admission to year 3 of a relevant degree program at SFU. Students awarded an Associate of Arts Degree from FIC will be awarded a 0.25 GPA discount off the required GPA for admission to year 3 at SFU.

Entry from BC Curriculum
International Students in BC who have not secured a place for this September may still apply for admission to FIC. Entry criteria for UTP II and the Associate of Arts Degree is an average mark of 55% in final grade 12 BC provincial exams. Students with 55% or above in English will not need to take an IELTS test. We will of course give an admission decision on all applications within 24 hours.

Places still Available
FIC is still accepting applications for September. Orientation for new students starts on September 2

English Test
FIC will run the Navitas English Test at 10am on August 11. To register your students email: John.Gregory@fraseric.ca
